Giving The Gift Of Health

Impact India is a registered Public Charitable Trust. IIF acts as a catalyst to bring together the Government, the corporate sector and existing NGOs in mass health programmes of national priority to ensure a healthy and vibrant India. Our aim is to create a strong healthcare system that will benefit rural India and help us fight avoidable disablement.

Reaching The Unreachable

Our main priority is to meet the impacted population's nutritional and medical needs. By addressing preventable diseases and ensuring that everyone has access to healthcare, we hope to improve the health of the unreached, underserved, and underprivileged populations.
IIF has conducted immunization campaigns against polio and childhood disabilities; projects for malaria control, Guinea-worm eradication; treated orthopaedic, facial deformities, blindness, hearing loss, epilepsy, dental problems and cancer; and deployed five medical vans.
Currently, IIF has two programmes, the Lifeline Express (LLE) and the Community Health Initiative (CHI).

The Lifeline Express

On July 16, 1991, IIF started LLE, the World's First and India's Only Multi-Specialty Tertiary Care Hospital Train. Every year, the LLE stops by 10 aspirational districts and needy areas, bringing cutting-edge technology and specialized healthcare services to rural communities which have little to no medical infrastructure.

Community Health Initiative

Launched in 2005, IIF's second programme, CHI, is dedicated to serving 7 tribal areas in Palghar District, Maharashtra. CHI's three focus areas include health care and education, strengthening local governance, and capacity building of frontline health workers.

We Strive To Make An Impact

Health and well-being are critical turning points in a community's development. They have the potential to be powerful change agents, particularly for the underserved and underprivileged. This, however, remains an unattainable dream for the poorest and least-reached. Lack of access to high-quality healthcare services exposes them to diseases, perpetuating the poverty cycle.
How then can the vicious cycles of ill-health and poverty be broken?
When we bridge this gap, we can help transform our country into a healthier and vibrant India. In an attempt to expeditiously improve health equity for aspirational districts, Impact India has committed itself to providing high-quality healthcare services to the most underserved segments of society in order to improve their quality of life, make good health a dream come true, and free them from the shackles of illness, which in turn promotes safer neighbourhoods, stable homes, healthy environmental conditions, and economic self-sufficiency.
